Finally received my money from Amazon seller account

Those who follow this blog here surely know about the little escapade that Amazon has put me (and many other Amazon sellers through). If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can read about it all here.

Well, just to let everyone know, I finally received my funds from my sellers account. After receiving that second 30 day hold of my funds email from amazon, and replying to them that they have made a mistake by sending me that second 30 day hold of my money, my money was released. I'm not sure what the heck happened but after logging in to my Amazon sellers account, I seen a disbursement link with all of my funds available so I grabbed it all while I could. I don't know if this was a mistake by Amazon or what, and frankly I don't care. All I know is that I finally received my money that Amazon held on to for way too long.

Like I said, I don't know if it was a mistake or what. What I do know is that Amazon stated in the very last email they sent me that they would release some of my funds but would keep a portion of it as a reserve fund, just in case any money has to be returned to unsatisfied customers. I had no problem with this, but when all my money is available, and I want nothing more to do with you, I might as well take it all and day good bye to you.

This encounter with Amazon was one of the worst I have ever encountered with any website and I am still shocked that such a well known company would operate this way. Amazon may be a great place for buyers, I have actually personally bought from Amazon in the past and was very pleased. As a seller though, there are many other places that a seller would preferably sell and avoid the headaches. Amazon has done a good job offering buyer protection, but they are the worst company out there when it comes to seller protection.

Ehow unavailable status on articles still not fixed

I recently wrote a post about ehow fixing their unavailable status glitch on articles. Apparently this is one powerful bug because the ehow team has still not been able to completly fix this bug. I thought that the problem was fixed when some of my articles that had been sitting as unavailable suddenly were published. Others were still in unavailable status and I thought that they would soon be published, but it has now been a couple of more weeks and those articles are still unavailable.

I have been wanting to publish some more ehow articles on ehow, but to tell you the truth, I'd rather wait until all of this is over and ehow completely fixes this bug, which I'm sure they are really trying to do. I'm sure ehow wants it fixed just as much as we ehow writers all do.

If I was a new writer on ehow, I would probably give up on this site, but being that I have been writing for ehow for years, I know that ehow is one of the best websites to write useful content for. Oh yeah, and they actually do pay! Just in case anyone was wondering. Ehow is one of the best places for those with a love of writing to share what they know and turn their knowledge into ehow articles that others can learn from. I patiently wait (as I'm sure many others are), for ehow to get rid of this bug so we can all start getting down to business again and start writing ehow articles.

Is Textbroker a Scam?

There are so many scams these days that most people are hesitant when it comes to websites that offer them the opportunity of making money at home. If you have been around long enough and have searched and searched for ways to make money from home, then you may have experienced some of these scams before. If you want a legit way of making money from home, why not become a freelance writer for textbroker?

I can tell you from personal experience that textbroker is not a scam, and is one of the most trust worthy freelance writer websites out there. Once registered with textbroker, you will be able to choose from a long list of topics to write about, you need only accept the articles that you want to write about. When viewing articles, you will see how much the assignment pays and how many words the textbroker client wants. You write the article, submit it, and get paid. Nothing gets easier than this!

For those who are looking for a website that is not a scam, textbroker is the place to be. You will write articles whenever you want, there is no minimum or maximum articles that you are required to write. Textbroker clients who need content for their website, print publication, blog, or whatever else they need it for, register with textbroker so that they can gather their content. Textbroker uses its writers like you to write this content for their clients, and of course you get paid for your hard work.

You do not have to worry about ever getting paid by textbroker. They are one of the most reliable freelance writer websites out there that pay. No need to have to worry about spending your time writing articles for textbroker and not getting paid. Textbroker pays twice per month, every two weeks, no need for you to have to wait a whole month long to get paid. Tell me what scams will offer to pay their writers two times per month! O.K., maybe some scams will, but from personal experience you have my word that textbroker is not a scam and will pay you two times per month.

If you do some deep research about textbroker, you will be lucky if you find any complaints or anyone accusing textbroker of being a scam. Sure, you will find those who say that textbroker does not pay them enough and that it is only good for newbies, but these people are writers who expect to earn about $5.00 per 100 words that they write - GOOD LUCK! Yes, there are freelance writers who do get paid that much for their freelance writing but most do not. Textbroker actually pays their 5 star writers more than $5.00 per 100 words but it is really difficult to become a 5 star writer. I personally have trouble staying at the 4 star level, though I have been there a few times before but eventually fall back into the 3 star level.

To sum things up here, textbroker is not a scam and if you really want a legit way of making money at home by simply doing freelance writing for textbroker clients, you can get started with the link provided for you below. You will be given an initial writing test during the registration process but don't let that intimidate you if you are not very confident in your writing skills. As mentioned earlier, if you can write anything that makes sense to anyone other than yourself, you will qualify as a writer for textbroker. Textbroker only needs the initial article so that they can know where to rate you, of course you will not be stuck with that rating as your writing skills improve. You will be rated as a 2 star, 3 star, 4 star, or 5 star writer. Once you begin writing articles for textbroker, your rating can always move up or down. Textbroker scam? The two words should never be seen together.

Copy and Save Textbroker Articles

Those of you who normally read my blog here know that I am a strong supporter of the freelance writer website called textbroker. I just wanted to give a little piece of advice to anyone out there who writes for textbroker or any other website for that matter. This might seem like common sense for some people, then again others may not think of doing it. I usually do but every once in a while I will forget to and I payed the price today. Just what the heck am I talking about here? Copying your articles once you are done writing them!

When you accept an article to write for textbroker, you are given a certain amount of time to write it. The time you are given varies, it all depends on how long the textbroker client wants to give you once you accept the writing assignment. Some you will have 1 day to complete, some 7 days, and some even longer than that. Anyways, yesterday I accepted an assignment to write even though I knew I would not be able to write it at that moment. I figured I would write it the next time I logged on to textbroker, which was today. When I logged on today my writing assignment was right there ready for me to write, which I did. I really wanted to write this article because it was on a subject I knew lots about and would not have to do much research for, that's why I accepted it yesterday. Once I was completely done writing it and submitted it, my article was not accepted. I received a message that my time to write it had run out and that the article was back in the textbroker article pool. Oh no! I hit the back button on my browser hoping my article would still be there but just like I thought, it was gone. I understand that this was my fault for not copying it after I was done writing it but it still kind of hurt after spending time writing an article and then knowing that you just wasted your time.

When I logged on to textbroker today the textbroker writing assignment was still available to me because it had not been 24 hours since I accepted it. Once I hit the submit button though, the 24 hour mark had past so the assignment was sent back into the textbroker article pool. After looking for the article in the textbroker article pool, the article that I had written was right there in the available articles pool and I thought about writing it again but I just let it go as I had to log off and so some things. Had I copied my article, I would have been able to just accept the assignment again and paste my article in, and submit it. The lesson here, always copy your article once you are done writing it. Especially if you are not going to write it on the spot after accepting it.

Amazon rips off their sellers

Boy was I hit with a surprise email from Amazon today. I received a second email from them stating that my sellers account will go through a second 30 day review. On January 20, 2010, I received the initial email from Amazon stating that my funds were being held as they periodically review Amazon seller accounts. You can read my first post when they did this to me here. I of course was not happy with this at all as they were (and still are) holding $1,500.00 of my money. What could I do though? I have done all that I can do and decided to wait it out so I can get my money and never sell on Amazon again. So the magic day for me to wait would be February 20, 2010. I would be able to get my money and be done with this crummy website called Amazon.

As I am writing this post, the date is February 18, 2010 but as I checked my email this morning I noticed that I had an email from Amazon. It was information about my sellers account - GREAT I THOUGHT! I can finally get my money! Much to my shock though, the email stated nothing of that nature. The email I received was just like the initial email I received from Amazon on January 20th. It stated that my Amazon sellers account will be going through a 30 day review. What the ****! Amazon is trying to keep my money as long as they could! As I write this post I am in complete shock. I can not believe that this company has been allowed to do this to Amazon sellers time after time and has been getting away with it for so long! I have emailed them back and will wait for a response. If I get some kind of automatic generated email from Amazon I am going to call them up and see what I can do about this. From what I've read around the Internet, not much gets done when you talk to Amazon customer service but I am going to try. I have also read elsewhere on the Internet about people trying to come together against Amazon in a class action lawsuit and if that ever happens, I surely want a part of it.

I have never seen such unprofessionalism by any company before and to think that Amazon, one of the most well know Internet companies is on the top of that list. Do they think they will forever be able to just keep Amazon sellers money forever and earn millions of dollars in interest forever and get away with it. Surely, Amazon knows that the bomb is going to fall on them one day but will try to get away with it as long as possible and make millions and millions of dollars off of other peoples money. Now it's just a waiting game to see what Amazon says when they e-mail me.

Ehow unavailable status bug fixed

Well it looks like the ehow team has finally fixed the glitch that they have had as of late on their website. After logging in to ehow today, the following message was displayed on the home page.

eHow Update:

Hey eHow Members,

We apologize for the recent publishing issue. Our awesome developers performed a fix this afternoon and you may notice many of your articles that were marked as 'unavailable' are publishing now. Thanks for all your patience.

Best,
The eHow Team

This is great news for all of us who have been publishing articles only to have them sitting in unavailable status for weeks. As I've written in a previous post, I had two articles sitting in available status, one of them for almost three weeks. As of this moment, it is still in unavailable status but my other article that has been sitting as unavailable for a week has finally been published. I'm sure my nearly three week old ehow article will be published real soon and we all have to thank the ehow team for getting this bug fixed. I know some ehow members may have gotten a little impatient but hopefully it is all behind us now so get to writing some more ehow articles.

PayPal users can not add tracking numbers due to glitch - Users getting Internal Server Error message

In the last post we talked about ehow and the glitch they currently have over on their site. Since I'm on the topic of glitches and bugs, I had to write about a bug that has been affecting PayPal as of late.

PayPal is of course what most of us who do business online use to do our online banking so I'm sure most of us have noticed the bug affecting our tracking numbers on shipments we send out. I first experienced this glitch on February 8th while I was trying to leave tracking numbers for customers. After submitting the tracking number a web page would pop up that said.

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@paypal.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

After trying to clear my catch and trying to use another computer, the problem was still there. PayPal would not let me leave tracking numbers for my customers. After a little investigating I heard that PayPal was attacked, which was untrue. A friend of mine then called up PayPal himself and they told him that the glitch on PayPal has to do with the new code that they recently added to process refunds. I'm sure you have noticed these new links on your PayPal pages that say Issue a Refund. Apparently their coding has messed up our ability to add our tracking numbers for our customers. Lots of Paypal users are very upset about all of this but PayPal apparently is working on the problem as quickly as they can. Hopefully they will hurry up before a good portion of their customers head elsewhere and start using other payment checkout alternatives such as Google checkout.
